Das GPD WIN MAX 2, das im GPD Store erhältlich ist, ist ein beeindruckendes Ultrabook, das Arbeit und Freizeit in einem einzigen Gerät vereint. Dieser Handheld-Gaming-PC ist mit einem leistungsstarken AMD Ryzen 7 6800U-Prozessor mit acht Kernen und sechzehn Threads ausgestattet, der zwischen einem konfigurierbaren 15W-28W TDP bis zu 4,7GHz erreichen kann. Die AMD Radeon 680M liefert eine Leistung von bis zu 2,2 GHz und sorgt für eine flüssige Darstellung auf dem 10,1-Zoll-Touchscreen-Display IPS.

Mit den kompakten Maßen von 8,9 x 6,2 x 0,9 Zoll (22,7 × 16,0 × 2,3 cm) und einem Gewicht von etwas mehr als einem Kilogramm ist der GPD WIN MAX 2 äußerst tragbar und passt problemlos in eine Laptop-Tasche oder einen Koffer. Dieser Handheld-Gaming-PC unterstützt bis zu 32 GB LPDDR5-6400 MT/s RAM und bis zu 2 TB SSD, mit einem zusätzlichen Steckplatz auf der Rückseite für bis zu 2 TB m.2 PCIe 3.0 SSD.

Der GPD WIN MAX 2 ist außerdem mit einer kompletten Gaming-Steuerung ausgestattet, einschließlich zwei Analogsticks mit Hall-Effekt-Sensor, einem Gaming-D-Pad und Hall-Effekt-Triggern. Auf der Rückseite befinden sich sogar zwei zusätzliche Tasten, die nach Belieben konfiguriert werden können. Dieses Ultrabook verfügt außerdem über schnelles WiFi 6 und Bluetooth 5.2, mit optionaler 4G LTE-Unterstützung für mobile Daten.

Der GPD WIN MAX 2 wird von einem 67-Wh-Li-Polymer-Akku angetrieben, der bis zu 14 Stunden bei leichter, 6-8 Stunden bei mittlerer und 3 Stunden bei starker Nutzung ermöglicht. Außerdem können Sie über einen USB-4-Anschluss eine externe Grafikkarte (eGPU) anschließen, um eine noch höhere Leistung zu erzielen. Multiple faults, questionable reliability

I got the Win Max 2 32GB edition that i have purchased this summer and in beginning this mini computer worked like a dream everything was great and i thought that finally i found my ultra portable gaming dream however this dream over last few months turned more in to a nightmare. Just half a year later Win Max 2 started developing all sorts of faults like the famous black screen issue that many others are reporting and no matter what you try such as updating bios, resetting the computer this only solves the issue for a a while and then it comes back. Now the new bigger more serious problem has surfaced where the machine freezes and graphics card crashes when you plug or unplug the charger, when this happens the gpu driver disappears and i have to reinstall it after each crash. This basically means that this computer has to be plugged in all the time or switched off prior to connecting or disconnecting the charger. Now before anyone says anything i am a technically minded person and have tried more then just general reset and update, the issue is in the design itself as per further investigation Win Max 2 has absolutely zero tolerance to voltage fluctuations so any changes to power will either freeze or crash this computer. Even when you plug anything else to the second usb c charger port that will also freeze Win Max 2 computer. As there are so many posts all over the internet on almost every forum its just obvious GPD doesnt build with quality its all about the idea and just make it look good. Now ironically i had the option to buy a laptop this summer which i was saving for but i thought having a tiny gaming computer would be more better, to this day i now regret i didnt just go on and get a regular gaming laptop which would also cost less but most importantly work without all these problems which now i fear that i dont know what else to expect from this computer. It would be even difficult to sell it on ebay because so many people know what quality of GPD is like. Honestly Droiux how could you retail this without extensive research is beyond anyones guess. Final word be careful when buying any of these GPD computers!
